The Good Life Experience was founded in 2014 by four friends Cerys Matthews, Steve 'Abbo' Abbott and Charlie and Caroline Gladstone. They have created a British festival that is genuinely different. It is a weekend of the very best Music, Food, Books, Workshops, and The Great Outdoors. It is a voyage of fun and discovery for the whole family. Learn to throw an axe or fire an arrow…cook on a campfire with Tom Herbert of The Fabulous Baker Brothers…abseil…eat some spectacular British food…learn how to make sausages or pluck a pigeon...discover your new favourite craft beer or cider…dance….take time out with some yoga and tai chi…learn bushcraft...see world class chefs...whittle a spoon...eat a s'more...ride the helter skelter...enjoy a cocktail in the woods...meet adventurers...forage...listen to experts from the most diverse fields and sharpen your axe. This and loads more is The Good Life Experience.
Remove the hassle from camping with pre-erected canvas bell tents, complete with up to 4 or six camp beds, lamps and groundsheet. Our bell tent campsite is close to the main arena and has the impressive backdrop of Hawarden Old Castle. If you have already paid for camping and would like to choose this option, call us on 01244 784 122 and we’ll deduct the price paid from the price owed. Please note that campers who choose to rent bell tents should choose the non-camping ticket option.
‘Like nothing else in UK!’
‘…a wonderful festival’
‘Ridiculously pretty setting for a festival’
‘If Willy Wonka had married Liv Tyler and they had run away with the Circus, then after a lifetime of beauty, craziness and brilliance they had gathered all their loved ones and dogs and children for a celebration of life with luscious food, the smell of perfume and wood smoke, and linked arms for and almighty hoedown, then it’d pale in comparison to The Good Life Experience.’
