"This advertising toleware clock is a fabulous piece of history. Missing it's original surround this fabulous original wind-up clock, dating to Belle Epoque era is real treasure. The wind-up clockwork movement is still in good working order. Originally this clock would have had a round wooden surround. The clock sits in a wooden wall mounted box which looks to date back to a smiliar era. Because the clock has been stored behind glass the clock face is in a very nice clean conditon. Guérin Boutron were famous French chocolatiers. The company was founded in 1775 by the Parisian family Boutron Guérin and went into bankruptcy in 1942."
