“Framed Original New Yorker magazine cover (Mar 1979) - Bull Terrier & Cat by George Booth.

The New Yorker magazine was first published in 1925. Still going strong today, it covers a variety of topics from current affairs, biographical studies, reviews and events in the city, short fiction, commentaries on popular culture and cartoons. Its iconic covers are commissioned by well known artists, illustrators and cartoonists, on which dogs are a regular feature. Cartoonist George Booth has illustrated many covers for the New Yorker over the decades, often featuring his trademark white Bull Terrier. Framed in hand-painted black frame with wax finish.”
