Framed Country Fair Cover - 1952, Cocker Spaniel

Sorry - out of stock

Seller. Debbie Kendall of The Enlightened Hound.

"Country Fair magazine was first published in the UK in 1951 to celebrate the ‘open air’. This wonderful illustration of a Cocker Spaniel was created by John Hanna, an Australian born artist who lived in the UK. He illustrated many covers with a range of animals and birds (and even some insects and aquatic life) from the British countryside over the 8 years that the magazine was published.

Framed in a custom made reclaimed wood frame (to complete the vintage vibe) - hand painted and waxed. Each frame has its own pattern of knots, dinks, scratches, nail holes, wonky edges and aged patina. Fitted with crystal clear acrylic ’glass’ and ready to hang."
