“British workwear is much rarer than its European counterparts and is increasingly scarce in good condition like this.
These are made from cotton drill: a true classic workwear fabric which ages and fades beautifully. It has also been Sanforized; a method of pre shrinking cotton often found on old work clothing.
It features a large angle chest patch pocket (something I’ve only seen on British Dungarees), two jeans pockets, one back pocket and a hammer pocket. Along with the rest of the action points on this garment these have been reinforced with contrasting red over stitching. This really picks out the unique detailing as well as strengthening it. This this has been built to last!
They also feature one of my favourite features of British workwear: removable “bullseye” buttons, these are held in place by a small ring on the inside of the garment and were designed to be removed when washing. They are a classic feature of British workwear and something I’m always on the lookout for. They were made in several different colours so mixing and matching them can be a great way to give a contemporary twist on a classic. Tagged as a Size 40 they fit true to size.”
