“These unworn overalls were made for the RAF and are date stamped 1985, so they’re nearly the same age as me!
They have an elasticated waist at the back which gives these a wonderful tailored and are made from a midweight moleskin cotton which is something I’ve not seen before. Moleskine is a wonderfully strong and durable fabric so these will age beautifully!
They also feature one of my favourite features of British workwear: removable “bullseye” buttons, these are held in place by a small ring on the inside of the garment and were designed to be removed when washing. They are a classic feature of British workwear and something I’m always on the lookout for. They were made in several different colours so mixing and matching them can be a great way to give a contemporary twist on a classic.”
