We love the ways we’ve been seeing vases styled recently. Clustered by colour and shape, eclectic assortments of antique vases or statement carboys, it really is true when people say vases come in all shapes and sizes.
From apothecary jars and milk bottles to enamel jugs, terracotta pots and bottles still covered in an artist’s paint, vintage vases offer a lifetime of character. They can often work as statement decorative pieces without the stems and bunches we add to them.
Do you like to make a statement or prefer to keep it subtle? You can achieve your desired look with one vase or 20. Understated glass or hand-thrown pottery looks great in groups, but a bunch of flowers in a jug can freshen up any room.
Why we love vintage vases and other accessories
If you want to update your home but don’t have much time, turn to accessories. It’s a quick way to give new life to every corner of a room. Try a collection of coloured glass or the earthy tones of ceramics with wild flowers. You’ll see what a difference they make – whether that’s to a friend entering the hallway or your view from the sofa.
Plus, it’s a lot of fun arranging and re-arranging a display of vases.
