1950s or 60s. Apart from anglepoise lamps, one of my biggest passions is leather jackets and this is a very special one. This jacket is a British/Canadian style, which is markedly different to the American Style. It is slim fitting and very square and had a plain back. This style of jacket was immensely popular with the rocker and greaser culture of the 1950s. This jacket has fantastic varsity stitched patch lettering on the back. York University in Ontario is Canada’s third largest university and was founded in the 1950s.
I am a collector, restorer and seller of vintage goods. It isn’t my full time job, yet. But one day it might be.
Everything in this collection captures a sense of adventure and exploration. I have always loved reading about the great British explorers, from Shackleton to Amy Johnson, and planning adventures in the outdoors whenever I can. I collect what I can and sell when I can, mainly at vintage fairs. This is a great opportunity for me to offer some of my favourite pieces from my current collection (my flat is quite small).
