"These have to be one of our favourite finds after a recent successful sourcing trip to France: light boxes from a cafe bar. They are naively constructed with a wooden frame and hand painted glass. Originally these were wired into mains electricity but the wiring and bulb have been removed. In the photograph the boxes are illuminated by battery operated LED lights. This is for presentation purposes only and the LED's are not included in the sale. These boxes have a rustic naive charm and could be rewired by a qualified electrician if desired. If you want to use LED lights you need to place the lights in the front by sliding the glass along to the side. We believe they're are made from plane wood and they're pinned together with nails. They originate from the 1940s."
