“This is a wonderful vintage Junghans Ceramic Wall clock dating from the 1950s.
Junghans were founded in 1861 and to this day make some of the most desirable high end timepieces in the world, and their vintage items are highly collectable.
With its asymmetrical abstract shape and baby blue colour this is Mid Century Modernism at its best! The minimalism of the style is attributed to Max Bill who designed for Junghans for many years creating some of the most iconic and stylish timepieces of the era.
Its clockwork mechanism is fully functional and keeps great time although there is no key. I believe it to be an eight day movement. The clock is in near perfect condition with a little wear to the bezel and an almost invisible chip to the back being the only indication of its age. Made in Germany - the clock is numbered on the back.”
