Xanthe says: "I felt like I was cheating on my own bike because I totally fell in love with this beauty!"
We say: "Built in the US for an All American Bicycle Rebuilding Competition in the 1950s, this unique and beautiful bike features components dating from the 1930s to the '50s. History doesn't relate whether the bike - built by one of the founders of Dungeons and Dragons- won the competition but, in our humble opinion, it should have done. The tyres are French balloon tyres and all other components are American. It is in fantastic condition and is a dream to ride. A unique, beautiful, truly exceptional and rare bicycle that will turn heads whether it is ridden or displayed. Brakes are operated by back-pedalling. Unfortunately we cannot do express (24 hour) delivery on this item"
Xanthe Berkeley’s Pedlars Friday Vintage. This is a new project for us. This week we invited photographer and stylist Xanthe Berkeley to come to our warehouse and choose some vintage to photograph for Friday Vintage. We gave her complete run of the warehouse in order to see what she could create in one day. You can follow Xanthe’s colourful life at @xantheb on Instagram.
