"This is the coolest thing we're bringing to the marketplace this week - a 1950s aluminium Post Office serving hatch. We think this will be such a fantastic talking piece in your home. When we bought it we weren't sure what it could be used for but we've been thinking of creative ideas: faux fire surround, kitchen servicing hatch. picture frame, wall art...... Made of aluminium a serving hatch like this would have been in every 1950s post office across the length and breadth of France. This one was from counter no. 2. The ferme sign spins around for when the counter was open. On the other side there are place holders to hold enamel signs. The sign shown in the photo is for display only and is available separately. Look at the design! Look at the style! Isn't this just a thing of beauty? We can guarantee one thing. You are not going to find another one of these in a hurry. Although not unique it's certainly unusual."
