Seller. Tamara Broido: Reclectic
"A fantastic pair of vintage WW2 (these are dated 1943) Army Officer's Kershaw Binoculars in a leather case. I am not sure if the case is the original but it is definitely vintage and in wonderful condition and the binoculars fit perfectly within.
The binoculars (graticules) are marked as follows: Bino Prism No.2 Mk.III graticule Binoculars, x6 magnification. Apparently these were issued to the British Army for field observation. They are dated 1943. On the other shoulder, it indicates that the graticules are 1/2° apart and 1/4° 1/2° and 1° high with a Kershaw stamp.
Both the binoculars and case have wear and tear consistent with their age, however they are in fabulous condition and the binoculars do work. The neck strap of the binoculars is missing. The wheel in the centre still works well and adjusts the focus.
Styling tips: These binoculars are a wonderful example of 1940s vintage. And what a wonderful piece to display on a cabinet or shelf with other interestign curiosities or hang from a hook on a wall."
