These sensational playing cards were produced in the 1940s for use by troops serving abroad. They were produced by the US Playing Card Company to aid ready identification of military aircraft; by playing cards the troops would learn how to differentiate between allied and enemy planes by their silhouettes. Each card is different and each suite represents a different country. We have framed them by suite. We love these; they are simple, strong, elegant and steeped in history.
Clubs represent Japan.
