VINTspiration: Series 8
June 16, 2017 - Inspiration
Sunday means VINTspiration, and we're back this week with more Vintage Inspiration for you to tuck into.
Frank Lloyd Wright was born 150 years ago this week. He’s one of those people we all know a little about but that, perhaps, we should all know more about. Here’s a good article on his work in Japan (we didn’t know he’d worked in Japan).
This is Lloyd Wright's Foundation and is worth a look.
Derwent Pencil Museum. Do you know this eccentric but lovely place? It’s just reopened and we think you’ll like it.
Roubaix Swimming Pool Museum. And while we’re talking niche museums, did you know that Roubaix in France has a Swimming Pool Museum? It’s truly wonderful.
Vintage Music. Is this a thing? Well, yes absolutely if you define Vintage as something truly classic from the past, something that’s exceptional in its class. Kraftwerk are touring the UK at the moment with their 3D show. They invented electronic music and their influence is everywhere. Here’s a piece from a few years ago. The most influential group in pop history?
Summer Plans? We think you should go here. You’ll want to, we just know it. These striped houses are incredible.
