VINTspiration: Series 29
November 17, 2017 - Inspiration
Like every Sunday, today we’re back with another VINTspiration post and more Vintage Inspiration for you to tuck into.
If you find yourself in LaLa Land then a visit to Merchant is highly recommended. If you’re bedding down for the winter in Blighty then a quick look online will cheer you up.
Gilbert and George claim (perhaps correctly) that the Tate ‘never show their work’. So, they’re creating their own gallery in the wake of a brewery in Spitalfields. It looks great.
Vintage/Modern Christmas Wreaths. The wreath seems to grow in popularity with each passing Christmas. This traditional/modern kit comes in DIY form and although we aren’t fans of peacock feathers this is a good idea well executed.
Looking for a vintage-inspired display cabinet? We were and eventually, we settled on two of these from -yup- Ikea. They are really well made at a great price and now they house part of our collection of vintage bits and bobs.
One of the most melancholy photographs ever taken -of Scott’s team at the South Pole having learned that Amundsen had beaten them to it- has recently come up for auction. Study their faces and poses here.
