This was an absolute favourite among all of the children (and many of the adults) who tested games for us. It is at once amusing, infuriating, fast, loud and competitive. It is an ideal family game, although children will enjoy playing it without adults.

In essence Snorta is an elaborate game of Snap in which players have to make the noise of their opponent’s animal in order to win cards. So, the challenge is not just to spot when cards can be matched, but to make the right farmyard noise before anyone else does.

Each player selects an animal character, at random, from a bag. The animal they choose determines ‘their’ noise. Players must then memorise their opponents’ noises before the animals are hidden from view in their own, individual, barns. Fast, furious and often very noisy play then commences as players race to try to make the right noise at the right moment and so to win by passing all of their cards to other players.
