We’re based in the Highlands of Scotland, where the weather can be pretty unpleasant.  And so we understand the need for really good foul-weather gear.

This autumn we’ve pulled together a small collection of the finest outdoor gear available anywhere…. 

These fisherman’s jumpers have been made on the island of Guernsey since the 16th Century.  Mary Queen of Scots owned a Guernsey and Nelson recommended them to the Admiralty as a valuable article of Naval clothing.

They have the following remarkable qualities:

• Knitted with close stitches from tightly twisted wool which gives them the ability to withstand sea spray and rain.
• Virtually indestructible. A member of the Pedlars team has owned a Guernsey for 30 years and worn it regularly every winter. It remains in perfect condition.
• Incredibly warm. The close stitches and thick wool make these extremely cosy.
• The diamond under the arm aids movement and provides extra strength.
