What the papers say.
‘A fine album of rare beauty that seamlessly blends righteous indignation with delicate musical panache.’ DotMusic.

Who is he?
An enigmatic Swedish guitar virtuoso. This is his second album.
What do I get?
A sparse, gentle, album of dextrous guitar and rich vocals. There are hints of flamenco and touches of folk, but the sound is absolutely of-the-minute. Gonzalez’s style has its roots in the melancholic folk of Nick Drake, but is very much his own. This is great mood music for late nights; subtle, intelligent stuff that earns and rewards repeated listens.
And?
Heartbeats, a song from Gonzalez’s first album, was used by Sony in an ad featuring thousands of brightly coloured bouncing balls, which was hailed as something of a classic piece of advertising. Thanks to this, the album –Veneer- sold millions.
