We are now able to offer these one-off vintage items in individually constructed light boxes in addition to our standard frames. The boxes are built to the highest possible standards by a small, specialist company in the UK. Each box is a one-off and is built to the precise dimensions of the destination blind or tube sign.For details of the destination blinds, numbers and tube signs please email marion@pedlars.co.uk.

The boxes are constructed of black metal. They are supplied with long-life bulb, black electric cable and a standard three-pin plug, although they can be wired directly into the mains.Once you have chosen your blind, you need to make the following decisions:

1. Do you require hanging eyes on top of the box, for easy attachment to the wall? The boxes work well on walls or resting on any flattish surface.

2. Do you want the electric cable to exit the box at the back, or from the top or at one of the ends? If you’re unsure, we think one of the ends is best.

Sizes vary according to the size of the sign or blind, but rough guides are;

Routemaster Number as shown next: 33 cm (l) x 25 cm (h) x 9 cm (d).

London Underground Sign as shown: 82 cm (l) x 13 cm (h) x 9 cm (d).

Routemaster Destination Blind as shown previously: 103 cm (l) x 16 cm (h) x 9 cm (d).
